Ender's Game

First of all, sorry I haven't been reviewing and posting like I said I was going to. Christmas time is so super busy for all of us, I'm sure! I'm making this post short and sweet. I hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas and not eating everything they see.. Like me.. Oops.

Today, I am going to review Ender's Game.

Ender's Game was originally a book.. I think most people know that. If not, it's only because you simply do not like to read. Nothing wrong with that, at all!

This movie was by far one of the best book-to-movie makes of ALL TIME. Even though it was a huge fail in box office, I will always strongly support this film. The CGI was incredibly well done. The acting was suspect when the children were acting, but they all did so amazing, in my opinion. They portrayed the book so well. There were a few parts left out that I was anxious to see, but to me, that is totally understandable. Those few left out parts did not ruin the movie for me. Asa Butterfield couldn't have been any better in his role. He was casted so well.

Rating- 8.1

I recommend this movie. Please watch it.

Sinister

Blumhouse productions will forever be one of my favorite production companies. I've watched every movie that they have been involved with to this date. That's why I chose to talk a little bit about Sinister in this post.

Sinister is one of the best horror films to be released in a very long time. Ethan Hawke is in my top ten favorite actors and he made this movie that much more enjoyable for me. The story line for this movie evolves so smoothly. Most horror movies will have me looking at the people around me to see if they are keeping up any better than I am. Most of the time, they are as clueless as me. The acting didn't have me embarrassed at the quality like majority of the movies these days. There is a feeling of suspense and curiosity during the complete length of the film. Very chilling throughout.

Sinister rating- 7.4

Top 100:

98- Another Earth (2011)
Rate: 5.9

97- Pandorum (2009)
Rate: 5.5

I will be doing 2 from my top 100 from now on because 1 per post will take too long, and I'm ready for everyone to know my whole top 100.

Enjoy!

Man of Steel

I'm blogging from my phone today, so I apologize in advance if this post is sloppy.

Yeah, I know.. Man of Steel is a mainstream movie but it's one of my favorites. It's in my top 100.. Easily.

Man of Steel is not a cheaply made movie. The CGI in the entire film is almost perfect in a sense. I've never seen a movie with perfect CGI.. I don't think that exists but Man of Steel is pretty close to perfect as far as "graphics." There were a few rough spots but that's any movie. The acting was not the best I've seen, but I had no complaints. Henry Cavill is the best Superman ever casted. (Remember, these are only my opinions.) Crowe was phenomenal in his short scenes as well.

Time for my favorite part.. My 1-10 rating.
I can say now that this is one of the highest ratings I will give. (My top 100 is based off of my personal favorites, not the rating.)
Man of Steel:
Rating- 8.8

I don't really have anything else to say about Man of Steel other than I highly recommend watching it. I would love to discuss my favorite scenes with anyone who enjoyed this movie as much as me!

Number 99- Warrior(2011)
Rating- 6.8

The Beginning

I'm going to start this off with a little bit about me. This is my very first post on any sort of blogging site. This will be new to me, so don't give up on me. I'm starting this blog to share my love for movies and TV shows. The main theme of this blog will be movies and TV shows, but I'll throw in a few books every now and then. I won't get too personal in this blog, but I really hope to interact with strangers and discuss their views on movies and shows.

I'm twenty years old and married to the most beautiful woman on earth. I'm a Radiographer. A Radiographer for those who don't know is a X-Ray Technician who performs X-Ray's on piping or welds in the construction field to determine the quality of the piping to make sure it's usable. I attended college for one full year but decided I wanted to make money sooner than later because I wanted to get married right away.

I was going to college for Technical Writing. English is my passion and what better way to incorporate my passion than to write about my second passion, movies! One day, I hope to have my name on the cover of a best-seller and my name on the credits of the next big film. A guy can dream, right?

Every post, I will choose a movie to review, rate, and discuss. I will give a no set length review, a rating on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the highest rating, and I will write my personal opinions about the movie I choose. I may not blog every single day, but I hope to post as often as possible and interact with anyone who may be reading what I'm writing. I'm not attempting to be a movie critic, but I enjoy discussing what I have watched or read. Along with every post, I will post one of my favorite movies on my top 100. I will start tonight with my number 100! Feel free to share your thoughts!
